Age groups

Classes by age

Kids · ages 5 to 7

Thursday 4:15pm to 5:15pm. Games, movement, listening skills, basic strikes on pads.

Juniors · ages 8 to 15

Monday 5:15pm and Wednesday 6pm, one hour. Thursday 5:15pm is a younger juniors group for ages 8 to 9. Technique, pad work, fitness and light controlled partner drills. The biggest classes in the gym.

15 and up · Mixed Adults

Some 15 and 16 year olds train in the Mixed Adults class with Gary's say-so and a parent's consent. [CONFIRM rules, and what they do in the sparring section]

What the hour looks like

    Line up & warm up

    Bow in, quick games, skipping, stretching.

  2. 2

    Technique

    Coach teaches one or two moves. Kids drill in the air, then on pads.

  3. 3

    Pads & partner work

    Hitting pads held by the coach or a partner. Controlled, supervised.

  4. 4

    Cool down & awards

    Stretch, recap, stickers or stripes for effort. Bow out.

Same prices as adults

£35, £45 or £50 a month for one, two or three sessions a week, by direct debit. First class free. No joining fee, no contract.
